Schools Uniting Neighborhoods

Earlier this year I had an opportunity to meet with representatives of Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN), an afterschool initiative in Portland, Oregon. Launched in 1999 through a partnership involving the city, county, state, and school districts, the initiative now has 46 "SUN" schools in six different school districts in Multnomah County.
I would love to see us explore a similar collaborative effort here in Cuyahoga County. Wouldn't a countywide collaboration around afterschool opportunities be a great way to demonstrate the promise of regionalism?
