King’s Rising: A Community Conversation on Fatherhood

There’s a certain kind of energy that fills the room when people come together to talk honestly about fatherhood. Not a panel, not a lecture—just a shared table where stories do the heavy lifting and neighbors listen like they mean it. That’s the spirit behind King’s Rising, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

We’re gathering on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET at the Neighborhood Leadership Institute (5246 Broadway Ave, Cleveland, OH 44127). It’s two hours set aside for the conversations we rarely make time for: what it feels like to raise kids in this moment, where fathers and father figures find support, and how a community can step up so families don’t have to go it alone.

Expect a guided conversation that keeps things respectful and real. You’ll hear from neighbors, mentors, and leaders who’ve been doing this work quietly for years. You’ll also meet folks who are showing up for the first time—because sometimes the first step is just walking into a welcoming room and seeing what happens next.

If you come, bring a story. Bring a question. Bring the name of a resource you wish more families knew about. Or just bring yourself and listen. Not everyone needs to speak; presence is its own contribution. You might leave with a new connection or a simple idea you can try at home. You might leave lighter, knowing you’re not the only one carrying what you carry.

Accessibility matters to us. If you need an accommodation—mobility support, language interpretation, sensory considerations—tell us when you RSVP and we’ll work with you to make the space right.

If your weekend is already spoken for, keep an eye on our channels; we’ll share highlights and ways to stay involved. But if you can make it, we hope you will. Moments like this have a way of turning into momentum.
